CBSG is part of IUCN (The World Conservation Union). It supports the conservation or establishment of viable populations of threatened wildlife through conservation breeding programmes and intensive protection and management of plant and animal populations in the wild.
CBSG has over 25 years of experience in the context of in situ and ex situ species management. Our participatory workshop processes combine small population and conservation biology, human demography and social learning to produce outcomes ranging from specific management recommendations for a single species to assessments of a nation's biodiversity.
