Cech Gardens

Cech Gardens were established in the years around 1830 with the planting of tree-lined lanes, later named Jánské Colonnade. This colonnade was cut down during wars, replanted in 1866, and now serves as a natural park dedicated to rest and reflection.

The park has been known as Cech Gardens since 1918. The trees to be found here are common, local specimens; one of the most interesting varieties is Narrowleaf cottonwood (Populus angustifolia) from western North America.
